Q: When is the auction?

A: There is no date at this time for the 16th Annual Charity Sport Auction

 

Q: Where is the auction?

A: The auction takes place in the backcourt of the  Dome during a Syracuse University Men's Basketball game.

 

Q: Can anyone attend the auction?

A: To attend the auction, you must purchase a ticket to the basketball game. Purchase tickets here: http://carrierdome.com/mbball/

 

Q: What types of items do you auction off?

A: Great items for this year's auction include memorabilia from numerous sports - including some unique autographed items, restaurant gift certificates; electronics; tickets; hotel accommodations and so much more!

 

Q: What is the bidding style?

A: It is a silent auction format. The bidding begins when the doors to the Dome open and comes to an end at the start of the second half. 

 

To place a bid, place your name, phone number, and bid amount on the bid sheet. After the end of halftime, you can come back and look at the bid sheets for any items that you bid on to see if you won.

 

Q: How much do auction items cost?

A: Items are valued from $25 and up. Bidding could start as low as $5. 

 

Q: What forms of payment are accepted?

A: Cash and credit (Visa, MasterCard, or Discover). There are ATMs located inside the Dome.

 

Q: When can I take my items home?

A: You can pick up items at the start of the second half when the bidding ends through up to one hour after the game in the backcourt. 

 

Q: Who is in charge of running the auction?

A: The Sport Management Club at Syracuse University. Click here for more information about the Sport Management Club (SPM Club). 

 

Q: To whom will the proceeds of the auction go?

A: Meals on Wheels of Syracuse is this year's beneficiary

 

Q: How much of the money raised goes to the Meals on Wheels of Syracuse?

A: 100% of all profits raised at the 2020 Sport Charity Auction will go back to Meals on Wheels of Syracuse. 

 

Q: How much money has been raised in past auctions?

A: Over the past fourteen years, the auction has raised a total of over $524,254 for charities in Central New York.

 

Q: How do I get involved?

A: Anyone can donate items, sponsor a table, or support by making a cash donation via our supported link (to be announced)

Q: How many items will be featured in the auction?

A: In past auctions, we have averaged over 500 items. 

 

Q: If I won an item, but cannot stay through the game, how do I pick it up?

A: You can call (315) 443-2630 and pick up your item after the auction at a soon to be announced location.
