THE BENEFICIARY

About Make-A-Wish Central New York:

Make-A-Wish America was founded in 1980. The Central New York Chapter was incorporated in 1985 as a non-profit, tax-exempt organization.  They are dedicated to granting wishes for children between the ages of 2.5 to 18 and living with a critical medical condition.  Make-A-Wish Central New York was the 33rd chapter in the United States.    Since 1985, Make-A-Wish CNY has granted over 1,800 wishes to children in the Central New York area.  They are on a quest to bring every eligible child's wish to life because a wish is an integral part of a child's treatment journey. Research shows children who experience wishes can build the physical and emotional strength they need to fight critical illness. There are 5 different types of wishes:  I Wish To Be,  I Wish To Meet,   I Wish To Go,   I Wish To Have,  and I Wish To Give.

Make-A-Wish Central New York shares the power of a wish thanks to monetary contributions, airline mile donations, and the overall generous support of individuals and corporations throughout its 15-county region, which includes Broome, Cayuga, Chenango, Cortland, Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga, Oswego, Otsego, St. Lawrence, Tioga and Tompkins counties. Together, we transform lives one wish at a time! For more information, call 315-475-WISH/800-846-WISH or visit cny.wish.org.
